Dianna Stearns, President, MA, CPDT-KA, CDBC, CATT

 

Dianna is the owner of Waggins West Dog Training and Behavior Consulting, LLC in Denver, Colorado.  Dianna believes that the growing sport of Treibball provides dog owners a great learning opportunity to communicate and play with their dogs in a new and positive way.

A professional dog trainer for 14 years, Dianna holds national certifications for the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants of which she was a founding member (Certified Dog Behavior Consultant). Dianna is also a member of the Force-Free Pet Professionals Guild, an AKC Canine Good Citizen trainer/Evaluator, and serves as trainer/behavior consultant to seven regional rescue organizations(in Colorado and Wyoming).

Dianna wrote and developed the original clicker training curriculum, licensed exclusively for use by the American Treibball Association, and is the author of the first definitive book about the sport, Get the Ball Rolling~A Step By Step Guide To Training for Treibball, published in 2013, by Dogwise Publishing.  She lives with her dogs Blondie, Fin, and Gemma.

Dianna heads up the Membership and Marketing Committee.

 

Mary Manka, Vice President, CATT

 

Mary has 28 years of working with the City ofSONY DSC Boulder, Colorado and on retiring “went to the dogs.”  She founded a fitness Bootcamp for people and their dogs which she ran for several years. She then founded Colorado Custom Collars making custom leather collars for pets.

She has been on the board of several organizations, and volunteers for animal therapy rescue groups through social media and other local avenues.

Mary is the second Certified American Treibball Trainer (CATT) and serves as a Instructor for the American Treibball Association Trainers’ Academy. She has also been a judge for national Treibball competitions.

Mary lives with her husband and dogs Aeden and Winston–the American Treibball Association mascot.

Hilary Lane, Secretary/Treasurer, CATT

 

me&lunacoverHilary owns Fang Shui Canines, a canine training and coaching business in Louisville, Colorado, that helps people and their dogs live harmoniously. She is a Certified American Treibball Trainer (CATT) and trains the sport at local facilities, serves as a trainer for the American Treibball Association Trainers’ Academy and has judged national Treibball competitions. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R Puppy Evaluator.

She has volunteered with Humane Society Boulder Valley in various training programs to help make dogs more adoptable, puppy socialization classes, and other training events. Hilary co-founded Rocky Mountain Border Collie Rescue, where she trained rescues to be more adoptable. Currently, she evaluates potential canine candidates for a the Search Dog Foundation, and writes articles for pet publications, including Cornell and Tufts veterinary newsletters. Hilary is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and the Pet Professional Guild.

Hilary has competed in Treibball trials with her Border Collie Luna.

Hilary is on the Technology Committee.

Patti Trudgeon-Muraczewski, CPDT, CABC, BS

 

Patti is cPattitreibball pictureertified by the Association of Professional Dog Trainers  and Animal Behavior College.

She has been instructing pet owners and their dogs close to 40 years. In addition, Patti has served as an executive director of a humane society for 15 years and is the founder of the Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue.

She has written in the national publication Front and Finish and a local magazine Fetch. One of her greatest thrill is instructing at Camp Dogwood three times a year.

Patti competes and had ranked nationally with her own dogs in obedience, agility, flyball, treibball, nosework, barn hunts and freestyle.

Patti is very proud that Snafu, her Bichon, is the most pointed Bichon in North America and the first and only Iron Dog Bichon Frise in the sport of flyball. Patti is currently training her Papillons, Blake and Paisley as well as her Schnauzer, Harper.

 

 

Melissa Wallace, CATT

 

Melissa WallaceMelissa lives in North Pole, Alaska just two miles from Santa’s house. She has been training dogs for 10 years and trains her own Chihuahuas in agility, teacup agility, treibball, tracking, rally, obedience, nosework, and tricks. Melissa is a frequent competitor in several of these sports in multiple venues and even travels to the Lower 48 to compete.

She enjoys working with all ages of handlers and all types of dogs. She teaches a variety of classes for the competitor and non-competitor. Melissa has been a member of several performance dog clubs and served on the Board of Directors for the Great Salt Lake Dog Training Club in Utah as the Co-Director of Training. She is a Certified Teacup Dog Agility Association (TDAA) Judge, Certified American Treibball Trainer (CATT) and judge, and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI). She is a professional member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the American Treibball Association as well as a member of TDAA. She is currently working on her CPDT-KA. She brings her extensive experience as a judge, board member, and ongoing continuing education to all of her classes. Melissa is not a full time trainer; in her other life, Melissa is a nurse with over 20 years of experience from direct patient care to senior leadership. She has several degrees and certifications in her field.

Melissa is on the Competition Committee.

 

Lisa Wisdom, ABCDT, CATT, CPDT-KA

 

Lisa & LibertyLisa spent most of her working years in customer service helping people with products and problem solving in one way or another. Combining her passion for helping people has carried over into the pet industry and her love for dogs.

 

Taking a class with her own reactive dog is what created her interest in understanding dog behavior and she was quickly hooked on training. It was through this endeavor that Lisa first became interested in full time dog training and pet care.

 

After completing Animal Behavior College in 2005 she began her teaching career as a 4H dog club leader and worked with children and dogs for several years. She has worked with groups of up to 30 dogs in a playgroup setting, where she was also head trainer and ran a host of classes.

 

Attending the latest workshops, seminars and conferences led by behavior experts to continue to learn and grow as a trainer. Lisa also earned her certificate as a CPDT-KA (Certified Pet Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and CATT (Certified American Treibball Trainer).

 

She now owns and runs Wags n Wisdom Dog Training hosting classes, private lessons and boarding dogs.

 

Lisa has titled her Lab mix Liberty in competition obedience, rally and continues training for treibball competition with her sheltie Pippin and border collie Keeper.
